Summing Up New Small Business Developments 2009

Okay so summing up! We’ve been on an epic bloggin crusade to determine the future of kurb.

And rehauling the site is the biggest priority.  We just can’t present colour copying and video marketing services under current design,  I mean this design was developed almost 5 years ago to represent that we were an underground “guerilla” marketing company who’s main service was auckland  poster distribution.

It was cool to br gritty and grimey but now well - video marketing and colour copying need a clean and proffesional look and so it’s an opportunity to update the whole site with a fresh new look.

I’m going to put in a default page, but then I’m going to take the pages for those 4 main areas - duplication, posters and copying, online marketing and video marketing, plus of course the priate party website and start customising them a bit for impact and really emphasizing the message.

other spaces I’ll be looking to develop are also one dedicated to retail although I expect that  to be a slow mover, online is as good a place for an inventory as any.

In the meantime I can start preparing to pump up the pay per click campaign and preparing videos for each of my flagship niches.

Most obviously, preparing video for the video niche is pretty important! Video is very powerful but that doesn’t mean I don’t need to make the smallest effort to be be convincing of that by making a decent video that looks like it’s worth the money I’m charging.

Looking at the video page, I think I’m going to need to present a clearer picture of what clients are getting for their money.

So this kinda doesn’t really involve much more blogging for now except perhaps adding some post dedicated to the new niches, perhaps I’ll use the blogs to develop strong leading themes, such as what can be achieved with our cheap video production and marketing service. Why our colour copying service is so easy and efficient, and that generally, aaarrgggh!!! I’m an auckland pirate!

Also the blogs can be a good place to develop video production scripts.

Each of these new niches will need content to back them up for SEO but honestly I’m not sure how much more blogging for SEO elsewhere I should be doing. If there’s a particular niche you’re really trying to boost then blog about it but otherwise . . .

It sure won’t be that exciting. As I said a few .co.nz probably might be an idea for investment, because it’t the surest way to picked up by google as a local site and deal with pretty limited competition locally on the geotargeted serps returned.

I’ve still got to keep looking out for what I’ve established though and though the auckland cd dvd duplication business won’t ever straightforward I can learn to help myself  by outsourcing as much online promo as possible.

I have a graphics designer and a new writer to ensure i dont need to blog about anything that boring at all.

Now I just need a worker who can start dealing with more intensive tasks, so I really can do less and less online, and plot more!

Which leaves finally to fix the leak in my premises and actually start putting some stock and staff so people in grey lynn can purchase copying, design services as mell as promotional products and items.

quick list:

- kurb website rehaul

- video and ppc campaigns boosted for new niches + .co.nz website set up

- outsourcing to manage and provide more marketing services  value, as well cover jobs i dont need to do, such as blogging, article marketing, facebook promotion, ppc set up, email management

- fix leaks in garage, establish supplier accounts, establish roster
