Alright just doing an update on the kurb business plan and letting everyone know as a kurb auckland service announcement that october will be quite slow - not only am I on tour in the south island but I am getting ready to release the debut Soul Science Mix Sampler so if you’re into drum and bass definitely check that out and be watching out for the Short Circuit tour and gigs from Soul Science this summer.
But that’s not what this blog is about because of course kurb is the business end and so I keep this journal discussing the kind of business we’re developing. Mainly because it shows a lot of my thought processes when approaching new business propositions as well as giving me a chance to describe the servides we do offer and what we are likely to be doing.
Our 3 areas were going to be video, printing and pirates.
Pirates will definitely have to be put on hold but this is definitely more of a long term project now that I am looking at doing all this personal music stuff I can’t really focus on the pirates.
Auckland Printing and copying services though however have really started to pick up since we’re getting great results on google for all our printing services.
Sure the profit margins are low on each job, but I can see the momentum picking up and at the end of the day it’s not exactly hard work to arrange super cheap printing through our discount rate, it’s just printing it doesn’t involve all the intensive set up of CD or DVD duplicating
Video is also looking promising with a big regular job landed through our cheap video production site. I will be presenting a 5 minute video to appear online every week for a very cheap price, but it has shown me that there is a demand for low end video and bodes well for future expansion of this service also.
Also we’ve got our first client through our new Auckland talent agency we’re developing which means rather than silly old me you can have the choice of an attractive young lady or promo model to present your online video presentation. Our first client is a gorgeous 18 year old blonde with a killer smile and I think we all know that she’s going to get more hits on youtube than you and I went putting together a cheap online video for your product or service.
