Okay it’s a new day and after deliberating over some discussion points for the rehaul and rebranding of the kurb site, it’s time to get down to the practical improvement.
The main pages we’re focused on improving are the pages where the action is happening:
- the kurb promotions and marketing index / home page
- the cd dvd duplication page and supporting pages
- the colour printing and postering pages
- the small business marketing page
- the online video marketing and video production pages
There are also pages such as the graphic design page that should have some attention, but much like the pages that support the cd / dvd duplication and the
But this is really just about the structure of the site and presentation. Of course the parts of the business that make the most money should be promoted the most, but this is a precaution against cluttering the page and confusing the visitor.
These are principals that will soon be translated to aesthetics when we start implementing the design.
But first there’s the presentation of the content, and I feel video promotions are a really important way to get upfront with the client. I think my personal connection with the client is most important, and making sure they know I’m upfront about an honest deal.
The client is going to be hit up straight away by the price, that fact that I’m highly present and putting my name and face on the line, and that what they need to do is contact me directly.
That’s a common strand with the cd and dvd duplicaton service or the colour printing we offer because clients are looking for a specific promotional product. With small business marketing and video it really does have to create a unique brand narrative that’s going to get a specific customer attracted.
The front page though is fully about brand over function, though it should be noted it does have the important function of providing an overview and directing new visitors to the broad range of services we provide.
But it’s exactly that overview function that allows the branded elements to come through, my commitment to a fair deal, the nature of the promotions and marketing services we provide and the advantages we offer our target market.
And definitely make it a lot more simple and straightforward than that last sentence!
